Water Resources Session at the World Impact Summit: Solutions for the Future Discussed

Bordeaux, France – One of the key sessions on the first day of the World Impact Summit was the panel “The Future of Water Resources”. The session looked at the management and transport of water resources from a broad perspective.

Emphasis on Collaboration and Coherence: The session emphasized cooperation and coherence between economic actors, environmental actors and public policies. The importance of intersectoral cooperation and coherence for the sustainable management of water resources was highlighted.

Structural solutions and optimization recommendations: In addition to water consumption, structural solutions for water storage and optimization were highlighted. Combining water harvesting with the logic of supporting regional resilience, it was emphasized that not only water but also sanitation services play a critical role in urban areas.

Climate change and regional challenges: With the increasing frequency and intensity of climate events, issues such as drought and water storage have come to the fore. It was noted that existing expansion and business models should be reviewed in light of these issues.

Sectoral collaboration and certification: In view of the growing population, the importance of cooperation between companies in the food, agriculture and technology sectors was emphasized. It was noted that companies are open to working together if they have certifications in this area.

Solutions adapted to regional characteristics: It was stated that each region has its own systemic characteristics and it was emphasized that these characteristics should be solved with an engineering structure.

Social participation and cooperation: The importance of bringing together the business community, civil society organizations and public services to achieve the goals was emphasized. It was stated that social participation and joint work will contribute to the sustainable management of water resources.
